The Eight Steps From Return to the Lazy Dungeon Master

The eight steps from return really do focus on more of a character driven high fantasy sort of game. The characters, especially at level zero, but I think even later in the game, they could die and you could rotate. So you don't want to keep too much track of the characters because they might not be there. Many times the adventure is going to have it for you. It's one thing to accept death here when you're all cheering and talking. And it's something else to accept death when a rune bear has disemboweled you with your innards.
