I lived alone in Edinburgh from 2018 to late 2021, and as a largely extroverted person, pandemic isolation hit me hard. When the government introduced the bubble system I leapt at the chance to be taken in by my dear friends Lucy and Lizzie - an engaged couple living just around the corner. For months, I was kept afloat by their friendship, supplemented by long runs and many baked treats. And so it was, on a glorious summer's day, that I decided to combine all three.
