The Differences Between Cast Iron and Water
The other way around your mouth is more sensitive to temperature. As a result, when you're taking in the tea, you automatically slow down, take a little sip and have it in such a way that a lot of air is involved in cooling it down. Whereas when you spill it on yourself, on your skin, you've got a whole large lump of it in one go and it can give you a burn. The surprising thing about water versus cast iron: Water is five times worse.
