Taking a Picture of a Printer Display

My fiance and I entered the store together to do our shopping. The guy behind me walks past me and turns around to take a picture of the printer display. He stands around with his phone still looking around not sure what he wants to do, but does nothing. At this point I am silently starting to freak out. It's also interesting that once I was asking my fiance where he was and when he'd be back there, they started to gather himself to leave.
