The Trend in Natural Disasters Is Down.

The IPCC says wildfires have not been increasing progressively over a period of time. When you look at the trend of deaths from natural disasters, it is down. There are only 10% as many people dying now from natural disasters there used to be 50 or 60 years ago. We have to decide whether it's better to spend money preventing them happening by decarbonising the economy or coping with them. So far, humans have been brilliant at adaptation. And I believe we will continue to be brilliant atadaptation.
