How to Break a Habit

In order to kick a habit or break a habit, you need to change your mindset. For example, if the first coffee of the day is a coffee that you buy en route to the train station, then you could kick the habit by taking a different route. Another phrase that I want to leave you with is the phrase nip it in the bud. Nip something in the bud is to stop something before it becomes a big thing. It actually comes from gardening. So a bud is like a flower bud. It's a wrapped up teeny tiny promise of a flower. But metaphorically, in this case, a bud could be anything that's about to grow and become larger.
