I've always I've always wondered whether it wasn't a miss opportunity to not come up with a completely different set of rules for international data transfers during the negotiations. The Shrem's one decision came out and basically they moved on as if nothing has changed. And indeed, opening up the regulation now is is a can of worms that maybe we don't want to,. But somebody should start thinking about the next version for international transfers that would work in this globalized economy. We need to arrive at a state where we just okay with different countries having different priorities when it comes to their transfers.
