Is There a Way to Get Rid of the Exclusion for Employers Sponsor Insurance?

If we get rid of the preferential tax treatment for employers sponsor insurance, you would see a lot of really remarkable things happening. The first one is about a trillion dollars of workers earnings that employers currently control would go to workers. And then once the workers are controlling that money, they are going to spend it very differently than their employers do. That is the most important thing we can do to bring health care within the reach of people who can't afford it.
