I think for me, resting on our rate definitely is a signal. Chart where the numbers are over time. Make sure that it actually is a driver for you though. If I'm having too much stress and need to take an easy week or a few rest days or something. Today I'll see Strava titles like completely fasted. Did this on no water? 24 hours without food. No carbs in 15 centuries. Most often it's from male athletes. This isn't the flex you think it is. It's fine for people to do that if it's what they draw meaning from but never ever, ever let it infect your own approach.
