Naked mole rats are extraordinary mammals in a lot of ways. They live in colonies under the ground, have one queen that alone reproduces and get cancer very rarely. Rochelle Buffenstein is a Zimbabwean researcher who just happens to have the largest colony of naked mole rats. She looked for this signature of Gompert's law of mortality.
