Naked mole rats are extraordinary mammals in a lot of ways. They live in colonies under the ground, have one queen that alone reproduces and get cancer very rarely. Rochelle Buffenstein is a Zimbabwean researcher who just happens to have the largest colony of naked mole rats. She looked for this signature of Gompert's law of mortality. And she found that it doesn't increase over time.
