Ikman's cliches are a pre eminent example of generalization. And what she calls stock phrases, which defended ikman against reality and the consciousness of his self deception. So a lot of this has to do with his view of the jews as sort of his respectable enemies. They're on the same level as him, and it's just, we were enemies. We respected each other.
