Hegel's philosophy history has caused more stupid things to come out of one essay than any other piece of human writing. Any time anybody tries to apply hegel theory of history to the real world, the result is abject stupidity. Andi have a hard time thinking of any other system of thought that applied to thereal world so consistently produces nonsense. It's very attractive nonsense and people chase after it.
