The Sliding Scale Between Robust Management and Bullying

The word robust itself is such a tell, it is misused by people who are so desperate to defend the indefensible. Good management can obviously involve difficult conversations. It doesn't involve this ridiculous charade of robustness which is being aggressive, rude and bullying. I really despise the way this is playing out. There's almost something sort of gaslighting about it, particularly as a journalist. These kind of individuals thrive because of the speed that they can get away with it. They're only ever judged on the output. That's the only kind of work I've ever done. And Westminster Whitehall will be exactly the same.
