AI is nothing more, nothing more than a concept actually. It's just a reference to any type of machine that's called an agent doing kind of human like or performing human like type of tests. Now AI can be implemented in two ways. One is rule based and many chatbots you would have had experience with are precisely that. And the second way in which AI can implement this through machine learning. This is a bit more elaborate and sophisticated algorithms that actually learn from data that they are fed. So it sounds like the rule based option is much more simple than the machine learning option. Would that be true? Yeah, and it's been around for a really really long time. But yeah

Until very recently, a lot of talk about artificial intelligence conjured dystopian images of Skynet, the Matrix, and HAL-9000 instead of a browser window answering homework questions or rendering bizarre reproductions of famous artwork.

However, the recent releases of some powerful AI tools has reframed the popular understanding of what AI really is, and the investing world has taken note. At times when technology takes an exponential leap forward, how can companies avoid being behind the curve?
