How to Psychologically Prep a Child for Intubation
The pre-op eval is actually quite similar to adults right you're going through the same systems from a physiologic standpoint. What you want to really focus on and really have eyes to see and be dynamic in is how can I psychologically prep the patient and the family very well for what's going to happen. That's going to really determine not only parental satisfaction but the experience of the child from beginning to end when you're taking care of them.
