Socrates meets a confident interlocutor, refutes him, the two are puzzled at the end. The challenge is what we now call mino's paradox: either you know something or you don't. We can know something partially in addition to knowing it completely, but does that really help? After all, how we ever got to know anything, partially in the first place?
