The Effects of Retirement on Cognitive Reserve

In the us, we tend to find the largest negative effects of retirement on cognition for men. People who gave their lives to jobs may not know what to do with themselves once that time is over. They may not be used to volunteering or even just meeting friends for lunch. And so i don't think it's all men's fault. I think in some ways, it's just what we've been trained to do.
