Cliarcus and Cyrus

Cyrus asked Cliarcus to help him claim the throne from his brother. Cyrus also sent ambassadors directly to Sparta to appeal for help. The E4s thought that this request was just, so they immediately sent messengers to their admiral Samius with orders to sail to Ephesus and to help Cyrus in whatever way he needed. They managed to obtain Spartan support after asking the Spartans to show themselves as a good friend to Cyrus,. But later, before the Spartans could arrive and set up a siege, they managed to slip away into Ionia.
