The Closed Guard in Jujitsu?
The closed guard has become that obscure position just because so many people have kind of discounted it. There's a lot of people now who as instructors, they won't even teach their students closed guard until they've had a decent amount of experience playing open guard first. It used to always be thought that closed guard was the bread and butter that everyone should start with. But now I know that a lot of instructors, they focus on open guard first in jujitsu.
