The Impatience of Academic Work on Inequality
Piketty's first book came out 10 years ago and nothing fundamentally changed, he says. But we have a kind of intellectual awakening about inequality, writes Piketty. And so my own view is we are beginning to see a shift towards thinking about taxation as a way in which we can address social injustice,. I'm not saying it's going to happen quickly, but I do think we are on the cost of a wave in a more progressive direction.
