Teaching Unions Saying About Pay Rises for Teachers
The two main teaching unions for england and wales are pressing for a pay rise that meets inflation. The government has said previously, in its submission to the independent pay review body that looks at teachers, that it was proposing around five % over two years. There is also a promise in england for the starting salaries for new teachers to go up to 30 thousand pounds.
