How to Get a Thin Ish Phone to Have More Optical Characteristics
The iPhone 7 Plus will have a periscope lens, but the company won't say what it is. The glass on the back of the phone turns light sideways so that you can run some of the optical path down the length of the phone inside instead of the thickness of the phone. Some other phones do that too. It's very clever idea and they're happy with it.
