The women are increasingly becoming private sector chief economists. I think that is a positive sign for sort of gender equity in this field. There sounds like there's a negative here too. If you just don't have the folks with the qualifications, it's going to be hard to get near equality. It's not even a reasonable goal to ask banks or central banks to achieve at this point.
