The Contrarian Question

Peter Thiel was thinking about the Gawker problem, as he had come to call it, from 2007 to 2011. He's talking about Gawker not just intellectually, but about what can be done about it. In this case, in a subset of answers to that question, is people thought, oh, there's nothing you can do. So just don't do anything. Which is a perfectly understandable conclusion to arrive at. Peter just decided to go in a different direction.
