The Harrowing Story of the Canoe
Fowler gleaned that when the beam of light hit the canoe, the men were sucked up into it like dust bunnies in a vacuum cleaner. There were humanoid creatures who must have been using some kind of telepathy to control the men because they claimed they couldn't resist or fight back. The men underwent months of rigorous hypnosis treatment. They were instructed not to speak to each other in between sessions about what memories were being drawn out during hypnosis.
