How to Use a Phrase to Talk Down to Someone
Another word I hear is deary. It sounds even more kind of sweeter, like D-E-A-R-I-E. And it's quite sweet when old lady say it. But again, if you were to say it, assuming you're not an old lady, it might sound strange. If you're not sure if you are able to use this word and sound natural and not sound creepy, I would recommend avoiding it.
