Marshall: What are political leaders supposed to do at a conceptual level in the face of all these different pebbles, tributary, et cetera? Marshall: I both agree and then there's a way in which i'll disagre. In going to first disagree, but then i will actually tell you why i fundamentally agree with that proposition. The way i disagree is that i find it interesting and actually productive to notice the ways in which very specific, arguably kind of obscure, technical fixes become fatichized.
