The best way to teach your kids about money is to make them feel the power of its scarcity. Success rarely brings pride or contentment, but it is rarely what you thought it would be before you achieved it. Making sure your kids understand the power of scarcity teaches them the difference between necessary and desirable. It makes them learn to enjoy what they have and fix what's broken. Those are all essential life skills.
