Light Therapy for Scurvy

In 1899, Captain Cook and his crew were trapped on a floe of ice in the Arctic. The men began to suffer from scurvy after eating too much canned food. To keep them active, cook made them walk around the ship for an hour each day. After more than two months of darkness, the sun crept back into view. On february fifteenth, the canal was free enough to permit passage. For the first time since march 98, they sailed into the port of punta chile at sunrise 20 hours later.
