The Business Case for Water Meters

I think we've got to a situation where we just need water metres. 40% of our drinking water being lost through lakes. And if those leaks are on a private homeowners property, I think we're past the carrot stage and we need some punishment for them. The business case for water metres is taking four years. That seems a ridiculous amount of time. Wellington Water was apparently beavering away on this by the end of 2020. But they say it will be complete by the middle of next year? Yeah. Like, does the fact that you might have to boil your water this summer make you keen on them? It's a no-brainer.
