The Importance of Community-Based Agriculture Systems in Cuba
The first big solidarity brigade was the vensoremos brigade which started in 1969 and has been going on ever since. As part of many of these brigades we do voluntary work and contribute to the Cuban economy. We visited a laboratory where they are like testing like hundreds of different kinds of rum making hand sanitizer with sugar cane that was really cool to see. The other thing I wanted to highlight um was meeting the president meeting Miguel Diaz-Canal the first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, who will be President until 2021.
