The experiments have pretty profound implications for what you think about how life originates especially on planets where it's capable originating. Reich would have thought that if these kind of intermediate stages can come from the dissolving of almost any kind of matter under the right conditions then life must be pretty ubiquitous throughout the universe. He had a hunch that this might have something to do with the energy having been lost by the tissues when they died.
