Is Applescript the Crutch for Short Cuts?

So far the sapari actions just don't work properly. If you want to do something as simple as grabbing selected text an combining it with a link, for instance, has to rely on applescript. I mean, i feel like it's kind of going against the idea of what sholl cas is fool right? Yes, ye, it is and it isn't. The people need to go out to applescript for otherwise, thinks saa mac isn't going to be as good in the long rone as notYou gong to replace anything, right?
