The False Choice of Privatizing the Question of the Good Life
The question of the meaning of life or any of these sort of big questions about the shape of flourishing life aren't answerable by the village. They require something more like wisdom, which is just really not something the university is tuned to produce or to offer students access to. And so we really think that those two options, that's a false choice. Like actually, you can have an inclusive diverse community that also takes up the question of the good life.
