Seed to Harvest is a new podcast focused on stories & tactics from a diverse array of investors, founders, and creators, hosted by Paige Finn Doherty, a founding partner at Behind Genius Ventures and author of Seed to Harvest, an illustrated children's book for adults.
On our seventh episode, I speak with Alda Leu Dennis, the General Partner at Initialized Capital about negotiating term sheets, being the general council at Founders Fund, her investing inspirations Peter Thiel and Garry Tan, and the importance of financial inclusion.
Alda is a lawyer, previously a litigator and previously the general council at founders fund. A mom of three, she grew up in Texas and her parents owned restaurants. She's always looking for women founders to invest in and has invested in The Mom Project, Maven and Tia - all companies founded by women focused on women.
For a bit of context, Initialized is a VC firm that invests in early-stage companies with conviction before it's obvious. They work with visionary founders using software to tackle some of the world’s biggest problems and support them through product-market fit and beyond. They’re early believers in companies like Coinbase, Instacart, Flexport, and Cruise.
