Charles Prince writes: I can't help wonder if instead of continuously looking for more funding, wouldn't it be better to see where costs can be cut? The money will run out eventually, and by all accounts that day is fast approaching. Those who work in the NHS always claim it's more efficient than many in other countries but I find that hard to believe. Surely someone has to make some hard decisions over the next year and reduce the Byzantine management system.
