The Impact of Corporatization on Physicians
49% of dentists own their own practices, which is down 54% since 2018. Corporatization and consolidation has really, really hit medicine hard over the last decade. If you're an orthopedic surgeon, that ain't fun after 16 years of formal school. The way that the trend line is going, they think that fewer than 30% of physicians are going to own their own practice in the next 25 years. Crazy.
