The Importance of Being a Hero
Lieutenant William Callie was found guilty of war crimes in World War II. The case divided the country even more so than the Vietnam War is already dividing the country. To many Americans, Callie was a hero and they believed that with the guilty verdict he was found guilty a great injustice had been perpetrated upon the army. But at the same time you got these people that were saying that look this is this is war.
