The Importance of Playing Music
One of Marjorie's five sons, Philip, was in hospital with a serious illness. She told him how we could play music and do theater. This was a lovely topic to talk about at the bedside. On a Sunday morning, that August, Philip passed away. The first anniversary of his passing was approaching. So she got an idea to organise a free jazz concert on the Sunday,. A year after his passing - it took place inside Morris-Dumel Mansion in Harlem.
