Planning a Unit When You Want Students to Learn So Much and Have So Little Time
Harry: There's some simplification that goes on even if it is just so that you don't end up spending 20,000 words trying to describe one particular scenario. Harry what's your number one planning tip for teachers? I'm going to sort of do this in a two part answer. So like the simple or the abstract answer is like pick one clear goal and focus everything around it. Like decide what is the one thing my lesson is about and what can go. And again if I give you a really concrete example and a point at which this became clear to me was watching sitting in an English lesson and students had done they'd read a chapter of Shakespeare play or an animal
