The Power of Prayer
Late one night, I was the uncooled chaplain in the hospital. A young woman with extraordinary nore on her face, incredible light on her face. And yet she was still able to smile with gratitude at my presence. She asked me if she could have a prayer mat, a sajada. It was an incredibly moving moment. The mother had the most incredible face of love that a mother can have for her child. After about two or three hours, it was the right time for me to leave.
