Is There a National Ban on TikTok?

China has a law that places obligations on all Chinese companies and citizens to assist in matters of intelligence gathering espionage work. The Biden administration has been in negotiations with TikTok business leaders to try and craft away from the company to operate within the US. And other US leaders, meanwhile, are proposing or passing legislation that is banning TikTok at least from government-owned devices.
