Hayley's Comet

History, like an individual, human life is at once incredibly fast and agonizingly slow. Hayley himself had been dead 16 years when the comet came back, as he predicted it would. I find it so comforting that we know when hayley will return, and that it will return whether we are here to see it or not. We'll zoom in a little to examine a bacterium and the people who make it possible.
