The FBI's Response to a White Supremacy Firefight

Randy Weaver, his 14-year-old son Sammy, and a family friend named Kevin Harris all grabbed guns and run out into the woods. When the dog reaches the marshals in the woods, one of them opens fire, killing the dog instantly. U.S. marshal William Degan died in the firefight. And in response, the government did what it often did in situations of escalated violence. It miscommunicated and then overreacted.
