The Slowdown in Rental Growth in New Zealand
Rental growth in New Zealand has been running at around 2.8% for the last two years. The stock of rental listings available is pretty tight, so it looks like there's some precious building to be saved. People are starting to put properties back in the short term renting on Airbnb rather than a long-term tenancy. It makes you wonder whether this period of rental growth could start to give way to a faster period.
