God Will Change Because He Is Not a Man
In Hosea, God asks the prophet to marry a prostitute. This marriage is meant to symbolize the relationship between God and Israel. As you read through the book of Hosea,. you will see God say that he recoils at Israel's disobedience. He has plans to pour out his wrath on Israel. Yet as we come to chapter 11: God says that because he is not a man, he will change. Because of his compassion, God will change his plan of wrath to a plan of forgiveness.
