The Weird Left

Joe Kennedy's book Joe Authenticrats is a critique of both blue and other sort of recent discourses in mostly British political culture. It could see the same thing happening in the U.S., where people claim to be speaking for an imagined, authentic working class experience by picking this kind of forensic position. But it's just not demonstrably true that people who say they speak for the real working class unless you embrace subtle racism, social conservatives and family values.
