The Importance of Trust in Second Chair Leadership
Second chair leaders often feel very isolated and I find that to be particularly true for executive pastors or other people where there's really not anybody else that's appear with them in the organization. They you know they those who are wise know that a lot of the yeah butts you mentioned it's hard to talk about with their first chair. It begs for a conversation around what have I done that makes you not want to give me more autonomy and more freedom to lead. We can't even have that conversation if we don't have trust, sometimes that conversation takes some real courage to lean into it and take the risk of you know what if they say they don't trust me.
