In many philosophies across cultures, it's like everybody has something wrong with themselves. We all understand we're not perfect beings. This movie is about overcoming that and in fact it might become a strength. For whatever occult or esoteric content is in Finding Nemo, it can still be seen as psychologically driven by unconscious motives which mesh seamlessly with the spiritual and alchemical themes. The concept of initiation is one of the primary themes and sources of humor in the film.
