There have been many criticisms of Qatar surrounding things like treatment of the LGBTQ community, freedom of speech and women's issues. Have there been any reforms in any of those areas in anticipation of the World Cup and all that scrutiny? These are conservative Islamic societies where generally homosexuality is illegal. And so, what they've done with that is, said, can you please try and respect our culture when you come and visit? There's been no notion of trying to decriminalise homosexuality, for example. I'm not sure if I can stand here and say that in 2021 we would have put in a minimum wage law, which is the first of its kind in the GCC region, without the World Cup.
